UNA WOMEN SAN DIEGO is dedicated to to promote women’s and girls’  empowerment through programs that educate about and advocate for the rights of women and girls locally and globally.

The Group’s signature event is the yearly celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8.  UNA San Diego annually organizes a delegation to attend the UN’s Commission on the Status of Women. UNA WOMEN SAN DIEGO is the UNA-USA San Diego’s version of UNA Women, the Affinity Group created on the national level.

UNA-USA Affinity Groups allow members to connect with like-minded members beyond their chapter or region. Joining an Affinity Group provides a platform for members to align their advocacy within certain issue areas. The UNA-USA Affinity Groups include: Youth, Global Health, Human Rights, Educators, and Climate and Environmental Action.
