Hosted at University of San Diego (USD) at the Joan B. Kroc Theatre, our event Local Advocates for Global Impact is linking local students, community members, and leaders across sectors to unite on taking leadership to drive sustainable development within San Diego Community (local action) based on the understanding of inclusive, globally shared responsibilities (global citizenship). WORKSHOP |  Under the leadership of our Youth Advisory Board, receive the tools and strengthen your approach on effective legislative advocacy that will bolster your confidence in expressing to your local representative the subjects that matter to you as their constituent. Discuss current important bills and other legislation vital for healthy and productive lives within our communities.


Our panelists are sourced across sectors, including Defense, International Affairs, Academia, Bio-Technology, Diplomacy, and Advocacy to ensure broad representation of San Diego’s diverse communities. 

Main purpose of the Panel:  a) Demonstrate San Diego area leaders local impact within sector of government, civil society, and economy and link their work to the broader, global community = #GlobalGoalsLocalLeadersb) Evoke understanding on how to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of our future generations to meet their own needs = #SustainableDevelopment.
