Have you ever asked yourself how to support a more equal and fair world? Join this timely event and take advantage of this unique opportunity to learn from women leaders and elected officials how they build a career in politics. Keynote speakers: Councilmember Barbara Bry; Kimala Price; Michelle Price; Nora Vargas; Nancy Nguyen

Whether you strive to run for office or choose to be a leader in your community, you can play central role in building fair and inclusive societies.

In celebration of the 98th anniversary of women’s suffrage in the United States the United Nations Association of the USA, San Diego Chapter in collaboration with Run Women Run, offers a workshop for young girls highlighting the importance of women in elected positions. The workshops will outline the path to run for office, as well as the key policies that support gender equality intersectionally, meaning, in junction with refugee, migrant and other vulnerable conditions that affect women’s lives in the United States.

We welcome all young female students and community members that seek to make a difference for a better, equitable future for all. As to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 we need direct participation and support, specifically from women, as they encourage policies and initiatives based on equality, sustainability and overall wellbeing for inclusive communities.
